A Little Paint and Some Shutters

I love the simple elegance of white. I think that was a part of what drew me to the Cunningham farmhouse to begin with. That being said, I always wanted to find a way to add in a little "pop of something" back into the look of the house. The decision? We had the old, black shutters laying around the house. As someone who grew up in a white home with black shutters, keeping the black felt too "been there, done that". The solution? Paint them! We chose a gray color that I'm absolutely in love with. It adds some nice contrast against the white siding and black accents, and also allowed us to freshen up the doors with a fresh coat of paint!
